our history

Renewal was planted by Chris and Abi Arnold in October 2018.  We are a church with roots in the Vineyard group of churches and with strong connections to the Anglican Church in the UK.

 

Our initial desire was to provide a home for those who had grown disillusioned with the church and provide a safe, authentic community where people could encounter Jesus.

 

We started by launching an informal evening service at Hillcrest Prep School and quickly gathered a young, energetic crowd of people eager to follow Jesus.  As we grew, more and more families started coming and we added a morning service in August 2019.

 

When COVID struck, we moved online and resumed meet physically once this proved possible.  We returned to Hillcrest Prep in March 2022 and now offer three services each week, with over 300 adults and children  across over various services.
