Ministry Associate.

We are looking to hire several ‘Ministry Associates’. These will be year-long paid roles within Renewal, working in our church team. The roles will be most suitable for people with some employment experience who wish to explore and experience working for a church.

 

This is a really exciting opportunity to join our team when the church is growing and we are involved in several exciting projects. You will have a year of significant professional development, where you will develop your leadership skills and you will be able to explore diverse areas of church ministry. We are look for people who have a bias towards working with children, teens or young adults. It will be a full on, exciting, challenging and incredibly rewarding year, starting ideally in September.

 

Role Specifications:

  • Part time or full-time dependent on your work commitments and preferences: minimum 3 days a week to include Sundays

  • General pastoral work with a particular bias towards working with either youth, children or young adults.

  • Serving within the Sunday service host team including ground crew, welcome, hospitality, prayer and service hosting

  • Helping to plan and run special events including ALPHA, and other courses

  • Involvement in weekly planning, development and team meetings

The role will involve exposure to most areas of church life, as well as being more heavily involved in a particular stream or ministry. You may have opportunity to be involved in:

  • Preaching or leading services

  • Running or leading ministry areas – children, youth, prayer, ALPHA

  • Exposure to dynamic and frontline social justice – AJAR, Rejesha

  • Learn how to vision, develop and run programmes
